The Musiktheater am Volksgarten of the Landestheater Linz is
the home of the opera, operetta and ballet. This newly founded Musical Division
and the Bruckner Orchestra Linz was opened on April 11, 2013 after a four-year
construction period. Europe's most modern opera house, designed by the London
architect Terry Pawson of the ArchitekturConsult ZT GmbH and architects, is
starting a new era of culture thanks to the technical, architectural and
ecological qualities of the new building and considerable public convenience.
In the auditorium the fascination of the theater begins - whether in the big hall (up to 1,200 seats), in the BlackBox (up to 270 seats), in the BlackBoxLounge (up to 150 seats), in the orchestra hall (up to 200 seats) or on the Foyer stage (variable seats).
