The Zaantheater is the stage for the Zaanstreek and surrounding area and offers a large, varied offer. From cabaret to opera, from dance to musical, from concerts to plays, from international shows to youth shows: there is something for everyone in the beautiful, modern building of the Zaan. There are premiers of major rural productions, as well as projects for specific target groups such as the Children's Book Week, the Toddler Festival, the Classical Festival at the Zaan Festival and the Istanbul Festival at the Zaan. There is a Tuesday afternoon series for those who prefer to go out during the day, a Samen Uit Salon for anyone who does not want to go out alone and many activities for children and young people. The Zaantheater is also a unique venue for corporate parties, congresses and receptions and for performances by amateurs.
